Nachdem ich zu Beginn der Woche schon damit angefangen hatte, kam heute das Finale und siehe da: ich habe fertig! Nämlich die 160 Rosen! Die sind jetzt alle zurückgeschnitten und werden hoffentlich den Ansprüchen der älteren Bevölkerung hier gerecht. Sollte ich auch gleich mal unter der Kategorie “Erste Male” abheften. Und jetzt kann ich ja als nächstes Unkraut jäten (seufz…).
Nebenbei werkelt Karsten übrigens an einem Hochbeet, nachdem die Rutsche und das Gartentor fertig sind. Wie ihr merkt sind wir gerade total produktiv! Das muss an dem schönen Wetter liegen, das wir seit ein paar Tagen haben. Da fühlt man sich nach einem grauen Winter gleich viel leichter und beschwingter!
After having already started at the beginning of the week, I had the big finale today and voilá: I’m done! Or better: I have done! I have finished cutting down the 160 roses in our front yard and hopefully they’ll bloom and look beautiful and fulfill all the expectations of the elderly population in our town. I’ll put it into the “firsts” category! And now I can turn to weeding (sigh…).
At the same time, Karsten has been working on a raised flower bed (well, vegetable bed, to be exact) after he finished the slide and the garden gate. Do you notice how incredibly productive we are at the moment? It’s probably due to the beautiful weather which we’ve been enjoying for the last days. Sunshine does make you feel so much lighter and happier after a grey winter, doesn’t it?
