Update 1

(English version follows below)

Einfach so.

All of us are facing challenging situations right now, aren’t we? I, for instance, have to handle phone calls from work while the kids are bombarding me with Playmobile canons (accompanied by loud laughter). The little one has to face a mean mother who forces her to learn how to write. The hobbit has to deal with the fact that we only watch the youtube sport videos for children when the children are indeed doing the excersises. And Karstens’ seeds on the window bench are growing too fast while it is still far too cold outside to put them into our vegetable beds. Tough luck for all of us.

But sometimes, there are unforeseen milestones. For instance on the first day of our Corona-time at home when the hobbit suddenly decided to learn how to ride a bike. One day later, we bought a proper bike for him and since then, he wants to cycle around the lake every single day (5km!). He is so incredibly proud, it has been a real ego-booster for him. And there are so many new options for the weekends now.

About erdhummel

Familial entropy - that's an insight into our current life which has been fundamentally changed last summer when our daughter was born. Having studied in Cottbus, Germany, and worked/studied in Edinburgh, Scotland, we momentarily live in a small town in Switzerland where Karsten is trying to save the environment and Freddie is trying to save our sanity. Since there is not much time for elaborate, long emails while doing that, we thought a blog might be a good option to smuggle ourselves into the lifes of our friends.
