erste Male (ähm, 17, oder 18, oder was?) / firsts

Und dann darf man bei den ganzen Urlaubserinnerungen natürlich auch nicht vergessen, dass ich in dieser einen Woche in Schweden endlich mal meinen ersten Elch in freier Wildbahn gesehen habe. Mitten am Tag, ein Auto vor uns über die Straße gesprungen und dann eine Weile neben uns langgaloppiert. Dabei waren wir noch nicht mal in der Wildnis.

And then, somwhere in the big pile of holiday memories, it should be mentioned that I finally saw my very first wild moose. Right in the middle of the day it jumped across the street and ran along the edge of the forest for a while. And we weren’t even in the wilderness.
