Man kann momentan wieder keine Nachrichten lesen ohne dabei jedes Mal die Krise zu kriegen, oder? Ich komme bald aus dem Kopfschütteln nicht mehr raus und frage mich fassungslos, wo das noch enden soll. Insbesondere das Land auf der anderen Seite des Ozeans sorgt ja für eine unmögliche Nachricht nach der anderen. Was mich neben den nicht absehbaren aber höchstwahrscheinlich auf Dauer katastrophalen Folgen am meisten ärgert ist dabei der Umgangston. Wo ist denn bitte die gute Ausdrucksweise geblieben? Ist in den sozialen Medien kein Platz mehr für höflichen Umgang und ein bisschen Eloquenz? Oder ist es neuerdings modern, dass Weltpolitiker locker flockig fluchen und derbe Sprüche bringen müssen? Wenn man schon täglich so frustrierende Nachrichten um die Ohren gehauen bekommt, dann doch bitte so, dass man zumindest ein gewisses Maß an Bildung bei den Führungskräften dieser Welt vermuten kann. (Aber der Anspruch darauf ist wahrscheinlich auch 2016 gestorben).

Ps: Und ja, ich weiß, dass es ganz andere Probleme gibt als die Ausdrucksweise von Politikern. Sehe ich genau so. Aber trotzdem! Das nervt mich alles!

One can’t read the news nowadays without having a blue fit, can one? I can’t stop but wonder what went wrong and where it will end. Especially the country on the other side of the pond is causing one worrisome news after the other. Apart from the not foreseeable but most probably catastrophic consequences, I am really annoyed by the tone of communication. Where is the good style? Is there no place for a polite phrasing and a little bit of eloquence in the social media? Or is just hip for the world leaders of today to casually swear, use the f-word and show no good manners at all? If I already have to read such frustrating news, I’d love to read them in a way that indicates at least a certain level of education regarding the world politicians. (But this standard probably died in 2016 too).

Ps: And yes, I am aware that there are more serious issues than the manners of the world leaders. I completely agree. But still, it really annoys me!
