Tadpoles (II) (Guest entry by Karsten)

(This guest entry is a second part to my previously posted story: Tadpoles part I)

Right now, the events come thick and fast..

The development of our tadpoles is progressing with incredible speed. The little one and I spend lots of time in front of our little aquarium in order not to miss anything. Even the hobbit is constantly crawling to the balcony to lurk into the aquarium like a cat over a fish bowl… So here are some pictures I took yesterday and today. Either tomorrow or on monday I will have to set some more tadpoles (frogs) free and change the habitat and organize some drosophila so that the small frogs will find food before I will return all of them to freedom.

Enjoy!

Second front leg appears (the other one is hidden, but you have to believe me that this is the second one..). Actually, this is slightly unusual, as normally the left front leg appears first. Here it is vice versa.

This frog is normal!

This one too! And he grows fast

He still has a long tail! Cute!

Frog leg through window. Fascinating really.

Barely any tail left..

Who´s a cute froggy? You are!

Because they are so light, they can climb the walls of the aquarium

About erdhummel

Familial entropy - that's an insight into our current life which has been fundamentally changed last summer when our daughter was born. Having studied in Cottbus, Germany, and worked/studied in Edinburgh, Scotland, we momentarily live in a small town in Switzerland where Karsten is trying to save the environment and Freddie is trying to save our sanity. Since there is not much time for elaborate, long emails while doing that, we thought a blog might be a good option to smuggle ourselves into the lifes of our friends.
