Der werte Ehemann weilt derzeit im fernen Osten. Oder im Reich der Mitte. Je nachdem, von wo man es betrachtet. Auf jeden Fall haben die Kinder und ich erstmal wieder gründlich die große Weltkarte studiert, und festgestellt, dass genau dort, wo Karsten gerade ist, ein lustiges Haus abgebildet ist. Und darüber ein langer, roter Drache.

Whatsapp funktioniert nicht und telefonieren per Handy ist teuer, daher ist die Kommunikation zwischen uns derzeit recht rudimentär. Aber wir haben schon gehört, dass Karsten tapfer Magen und geronnenes Blut gegessen hat, und die Krabben mit Kopf und Schale verspeist wurden. Den darauffolgenden Toilettengang stelle ich mir ja eher pieksig vor.

Dann hat er noch erzählt, dass er ganz viele Drachen gesehen hat. Und sogar den Drachenkönig, zu dem die Bauern beten, wenn es mehr regnen soll. So einen Drachenkönig hätten wir hier dieses Jahr auch gut gebrauchen können.

Nun möchte die Große unbedingt wissen, ob Karsten auch eine Drachenprinzessin gesehen hat.

Und der Hobbit möchte wissen, ob er auch Drachenkacki gesehen hat.

(Neben dem Drachen möchte die Große außerdem gerne mal an den Ort in Russland, wo das große Loch mit dem Meteoriten zu sehen ist. Und zu den Osterinseln. Nebenbei haben wir auch noch etwas über Plattentektonik gelernt und Vulkane gesucht und gefunden. Unnötig zu sagen, dass der Hobbit den Popocatépetl am Besten fand, oder?)

My beloved husband is currently experiencing the Far East (though that is definitely in the eye of the beholder). In any case, the children and I first studied the big map of the world thoroughly again, and found out that there is a picture of a funny looking house exactly where Karsten is staying right now. And above the funny house is a long red dragon.

Whatsapp doesn’t work and mobile phone calls are expensive, so communication is quite rudimentary between us these days. But we have already heard that Karsten bravely consumed stomach and clotted blood, and that the crabs were eaten with head and shell. I imagine the following toilet visit to be rather scratchy.

Then he told us that he has already seen lots of dragons. And even the king of the dragons, to which the people pray when hoping for more rainfall. It seems we were definitely lacking a dragon king here in Germany this summer.

Now the little one is wondering whether he also saw the dragon princess.

And the hobbit wants to know whether he also saw dragon poo.

Besides the dragon, the little one would also like to visit the place in Russia with the big hole and the meteorite. And the Easter Islands, too. Besides, we also learned something about plate tectonics and looked for volcanoes. Needless to say that the hobbit liked Popocatépetl the best…)
