Einmal im Monat am Montagmorgen / once a month on a monday morning

(English version follows below)

Today was one of these days again. It is shortly before 7am, the kids and I are standing in our bathroom when we hear a rumbling noise from the street. Which causes all of us to sprint down the stairs. I run into the kitchen, the kids are running to the terrace door. And then I sprint outside, just wearing my pyjamas, with the big bag of paper in my hand, while the kids are holding the terrace door open, shouting “Faster, Mom, faster!!”. And the I pull the big paper bin onto the sidewalk and vanish into the house again, telling myself to check our garbage disposal schedule more often.

Well, at least we are awake afterwards!

About erdhummel

Familial entropy - that's an insight into our current life which has been fundamentally changed last summer when our daughter was born. Having studied in Cottbus, Germany, and worked/studied in Edinburgh, Scotland, we momentarily live in a small town in Switzerland where Karsten is trying to save the environment and Freddie is trying to save our sanity. Since there is not much time for elaborate, long emails while doing that, we thought a blog might be a good option to smuggle ourselves into the lifes of our friends.
