Freuden des Alltags / daily joys

(English version follows below)

Every time, when I dropped the little one off at her music class, the hobbit is allowed to jump into puddles for the next thirty minutes. The puddles have been there since the beginning of the course, every week, and I am sure they will be there until summer. Every time, we then continue to the small corner shop and buy sweets for 30 cents (on behalf of the little one). We get either six sweet mice, 6 worms or 6 liquorice bars for it. Every time, we meet the elder siblings of the other music girls there. They do the exact same thing than we do, but they spend 50 cents.

And every time, when we are waiting for the class to finish, I am amused by the signage of the emergency exit. It is supposed to say “escape door”, but there is one letter missing (a second “t”) and instead it says “curse door”. Maybe one day, we’ll be adventurous enough to use this door.

About erdhummel

Familial entropy - that's an insight into our current life which has been fundamentally changed last summer when our daughter was born. Having studied in Cottbus, Germany, and worked/studied in Edinburgh, Scotland, we momentarily live in a small town in Switzerland where Karsten is trying to save the environment and Freddie is trying to save our sanity. Since there is not much time for elaborate, long emails while doing that, we thought a blog might be a good option to smuggle ourselves into the lifes of our friends.
