About erdhummel

Familial entropy - that's an insight into our current life which has been fundamentally changed last summer when our daughter was born. Since there is not much time for elaborate, long emails while doing that, we thought a blog might be a good option to smuggle ourselves into the lifes of our friends.

Appropriate priorities

This morning, everything was white outside. When the little one and I made our way to the baby swimming at 8 am, it was calm and the streets where empty, covered with a layer of snow. On the way to … Continue reading

Stones on a cupboard

Sneak a peek

One thing I love about winter is how cosy the homes of the people tend to look. There are a lot of old, wooden houses in our street in Finland (sadly we live in one of the only modern blocks) … Continue reading

Frostbites vs astronauts

This morning, the little one and I left home while it was still dark outside (8:30am) and went to the baby circus (a course where you do funny things with the babies, put them upside down, swing them around…). While … Continue reading

Surrounded by….

You are lying in bed and you are incredibly tired. Gravity is pushing you onto the matrass, your body just doesn’t want to move anymore. The day has been exciting and exhausting. You can’t keep your eyes open. Yet, you … Continue reading

All about timing

As I mentioned, we are currently to be found in Finland for the next 2.5 months. It is winter in Finland, pretty cold with short days…the timing does not seem to be ideal. Responsible for that is Karstens’ work. He … Continue reading
