cake delivery service for mamas

If you are very motivated in the morning,

and if you have the right ingredients,

and if you have a toddler that loves baking,

then you should bake a cake!

And if, in the afternoon, the sun comes out after weeks of grey sky,

and if you feel like going for a long walk,

and if you live in a country with milk boxes adjacent to the letter boxes (used for parcels nowadays),

and if you have a friend that is 7 months pregnant,

and if you have another friend with a new-born child and accordingly sleepless nights,

and if you have another friend with a feverish toddler who can’t leave the house,

then you should start a cake delivery service.

(And if you then manage to keep your child from eating all the cake on the way and if you manage to avoid a bladder infection because the weather was somehow colder than imagined, and if the cake has been distributed all over town at the end of the afternoon , then it can be called a very successful day!)

About erdhummel

Familial entropy - that's an insight into our current life which has been fundamentally changed last summer when our daughter was born. Having studied in Cottbus, Germany, and worked/studied in Edinburgh, Scotland, we momentarily live in a small town in Switzerland where Karsten is trying to save the environment and Freddie is trying to save our sanity. Since there is not much time for elaborate, long emails while doing that, we thought a blog might be a good option to smuggle ourselves into the lifes of our friends.

It can (and should) also be called a very successful baking session! Thank you so much for the delicious cake 🙂

(We definitely value your way of friendship highly… and we would still do if it didn’t involve any cake presents for a while :D)
